Recognized for its rare environmental beauty and exuberant native vegetation, the island has a strong personality and protects its ancestral traditions. Keeping the backwater of a fishing village, Moreré is still an unusual destination among frequent travelers in search of sustainable tourism, respecting and learning from the local culture, preserving natural resources and giving prominence to the resident communities. The region has been recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage Site.
Since the beginning of the project, training the local workforce was considered a priority, involving not only the island's residents, but also incorporating the artisanal style, passed between generations, from the construction and optimization of bungalows and social spaces, such as gastronomy and in the cultural immersion experiences program.
Sustainability at any rate
The wild nature setting is respected and taken literally in the ambitious project that comprises the 8,000 square meters of land (equivalent to 1 complete hectare) of Ventos Moreré. We are committed to reducing the use of plastic on the island as well as in waste disposal.
The architectural project included a refurbishment of the original construction to implement solar panels, an artesian well and the use of a biodigester for water and sewage treatment, biological sources, cross ventilation and other high-end technological devices.
Land adopted by the indigenous tribes of the Tupinambás, which is also home to the Monte Alegre quilombola community. A region surrounded by mysticism where the richness of Bahian synchronism survives in natura, having in Candomblé and Spiritism its original roots.
