How to Arrive.

AIR

From Salvador airport there are small planes to the Island of Boipeba. The trip lasts 20 minutes and the timetable varies according to season. The airstrip is located in the Island of Tinharé with a fast transfer to Moreré (duration 15 minutes).

LAND

Those travelling by car have two options: drive by BR 101 or cross Baia de Todos os Santos by ferry boat to Bom Despacho. Destination: Valença. At the port there are speed boats to Boipeba.

Another option is through Torrinhas, a small place near Boipeba with a few parking lots. For Torrinhas, take the BA 001 road to the city of Nilo Peçanha. After the city entrance, there is a sign to Cairu. Take this road for 12 km then turn right for another 7 km before arriving in Torrinhas.

SEA

The easiest way is to take a boat or catamaran from Valença straight to Boipeba. The approximate travel time of the boat is 4 hours and of the catamaran is 2 hours.

You can also access Boipeba from Morro de São Paulo, one of the many tourist boats that usually have room for a few passengers that will not return from Boipeba. You can also go to the tip of the island by Land Rover and then cross by canoe.
